The 2026 Charlotte Asian Festival once again brought vibrancy and excitement to Ramsey Creek Park on Lake Norman earlier this year. This annual celebration, held in honor of Asian-Pacific Heritage Month, welcomed visitors to come and appreciate the richness of Asian culture, diversity, and history.

With a dynamic lineup of activities, the festival immersed attendees in cultural performances, traditional Asian cuisine, hands‑on crafts, and engaging cultural booths. One of the most anticipated highlights remained the Charlotte Dragon Boat Festival, where teams raced across the water in beautifully decorated boats—continuing a tradition that dates back more than 2,000 years.

Since its inception in 2000 at Marshall Park in Uptown Charlotte, the Asian Festival has grown steadily. Its move to Ramsey Creek Park in 2006 marked a turning point, allowing the festival to expand and incorporate the thrilling Dragon Boat Race. Over the years, the event has continued to evolve, drawing larger crowds eager to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Asian heritage.
